Meet us in Denia, Spain

Denia is a historical, coastal city in the region of Costa Blanca. It is also the town where Meg was born and attended school until the age of 9. Denia is filled with many things to do from a fun downtown, miles of sandy and rocky beaches, night life, a historical castle from the 14th century, water activities, and more. You can experience the best of Mediterranean cuisine in Denia with traditional Valencian food like Paella, Fideua and delicious seafoods. Denia is a short boat ride away from Ibiza and the rest of the Balearic Islands, known for its nightlife and incredible beaches. We are so excited to welcome you here to help celebrate becoming husband and wife.

  • Airports

There are four airports you can fly into, with a range of driving distances to Denia. Depending on your plans before / after the wedding, we recommend the following:

    Alicante Elche Miguel Hernandez Airport
    1 hr drive to Denia

    Valencia Manises Airport
    1 hr drive to Denia

Josep Tarradellas Barcelona El Prat Airport
    4.5 hr drive to Denia

    Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport
    4.5 hr drive to Denia

  • Passports

You will need a passport to travel to Spain. On average it is taking longer than anticipated to get a passport, please plan accordingly. Reminder, you can’t travel abroad with a passport that expires within 6 months of your trip.

Europe was going to require a visa in 2024, but they have adjusted the timeline and visa’s wont be required until 2025!

  • Rental Cars

You can rent a car at all of the major airports. A pro to having a car would allow for exploring beaches and surrounding towns without needing to taxi/bus. We will provide transportation to and from the wedding at specific pick-up and drop-off locations.

If renting, please ensure to get an international drivers license. Not all rental car companies require it, but its better to be prepared than stuck without a license. We’ve rented through Centauro and had a great experience.

PS: Make sure you rent an automatic car, or else you’ll end up with a stick shift.

You can get license at your local AAA or link to apply for an international driver's license can be found here.
